A paper by Lynn S. Branham that was published in the Denver Law Review Forum titled “The Overlooked Victim Right: According to Victim-Survivors a Right of Access to Restorative Justice” outlines the same findings that the Federal Ombudsman for Victims of Crime has noticed: knowledge and access to restorative justice is not as widespread as it should be.
Working with Crown and MOU Development: Two-part Dialogue
Please join us for RJABC's 1st community dialogue! This 2-part community dialogue begins with a conversation with Deputy Regional Crown Counsel Joel Gold and Gillian Lindquist, Executive Director of Restorative Justice Victoria, about BC Prosecution Service’s new policy changes and restorative justice, and the process of developing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Attorney General. The second community dialogue offers an opportunity for the restorative justice community of practitioners and programs to connect, identify areas for growth in working with Crown, and share ideas.
