Restorative Justice Association of BC (RJABC) is excited to host its 3rd Provincial Restorative Justice Symposium (PRJS). The PRJS seeks to offer engagement and learning opportunities for restorative justice programs, practitioners, advocates, and justice partners in building capacity for victim-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive restorative justice approaches.

The 2025 PRJS Committee are seeking workshop presenters for the in-person symposium on October 22nd to 23rd 2025 held in Burnaby, BC. This year’s symposium “Justice as Healing” will ignite crucial conversations and forge pathways to deepen the transformative power of restorative justice. Participants will engage in dynamic spaces and seize opportunities to dissect the very essence of justice as healing, ultimately propelling the evolution and expansion of profoundly healing practices within restorative justice spaces and processes.

This call for workshop presentations is for those who would like to present a lecture, panel, group discussion, skills workshop, or other creative way to share information!

This year we are looking for:

8 workshops (90 minutes in length).These workshops are for lectures, panels, or short discussions.

AND

4 workshops (120 minutes in length). These workshops are for workshops that are experiential, skill focused, a group activity, or a facilitated practice space.

The Workshop Presenter Selection Committee will be accepting applications until June 30, 2025.

Selected applicants will be informed of the planning committee’s decision by July 15, 2025.

Workshop presenters will have their symposium registration fees waived for up to three presenters per workshop. While workshops are offered on a volunteer basis, we understand that some programs or presenters may require additional financial support. If this applies to you, please let us know when you confirm your acceptance. Please note that while we will consider all requests, additional funding support is not guaranteed.
