We are delighted to announce the successful conclusion of the 2025 Provincial Restorative Justice Symposium, which took place on October 22nd and 23rd. Under the compelling theme of “Justice as Healing,” this event brought together a diverse community of practitioners, academics, and partners to explore the profound intersection of justice processes, trauma recovery, and holistic restoration.

We depart from the symposium feeling energized, connected, and inspired by the shared commitment to move beyond traditional punitive models. The conversations, presentations, and connections made over the past two days will undoubtedly inform and strengthen the restorative justice movement across British Columbia and beyond.

Deep Gratitude to Our Planning Committee and Partners

An event of this scale and depth is simply not possible without the incredible dedication behind the scenes. We extend our warmest and most profound thanks to the PRJS Planning committee for their tireless work, passion, and vision. Your commitment was instrumental in shaping the symposium and ensuring its seamless execution.

We are also immensely grateful for the essential support that anchors our mission. A sincere thank you to our valued sponsors for their commitment to advancing the dialogue on restorative justice:

Ministry of Public Safety and the Solicitor General

Thank you for supporting this vital conversation and helping us foster environments where healing can begin.

We look forward to building on the momentum generated at the symposium and continuing our journey toward Justice as Healing in the year ahead.
