The 2025 Provincial Restorative Justice Symposium centers on the theme of “Justice as Healing.” This theme explores the profound intersection between justice processes and the journey of recovery and restoration for all involved. Moving beyond traditional punitive models, “Justice as Healing” emphasizes approaches that address the root causes of harm, repair relationships, and empower individuals and communities to find pathways to wholeness. It invites participants to delve into how restorative practices can facilitate emotional, spiritual, and communal well-being, fostering environments where safety is reclaimed, trust is rebuilt, and healing can begin. This symposium will highlight practices that honour identity, integrate cultural practices, and embody relational strategies to move from harm to holistic restoration.
